Karaoke Kim

Well, it was Friday and somehow a crowd of the KP characters ended up at Barkin’s Bar for Karaoke Night.

Duff left in a huff when he wasn’t allowed to play his highland pipes to the backing track of “Still Got the Blues for You”, but otherwise they all had a great time.

Eventually, it was Kimmie’s turn, and here you can see her entertaining family and friends with the Scissor Sisters hit “She’s My Man” from the album “Ta-dah”!

Although, given the reactions of the audience, entertaining might not be the best word...

Dr. D. and Dr. P. are clearly shocked, Ron feels a bit ill and Mrs. Dr. P. is pissed. (Yori is supportive as always, and repeats her line in Japanese from my previous pic. It's supposed to mean 'Take it easy, Monkey Man"). Shego is embarrassed. Bonnie is out of it (too much lobster is a dangerous thing) and Tara is engrossed in showing her handgun to uncle Slim. Anonymous background girl is awestruck.

And why? Well, remember I made a pic with Shego singing her own, slightly altered version of “My heart belongs to Daddy” a while back, shocking the pants off her audience? This is Kimmie’s retribution.

And the text of “She’s My Man” contains a lot of, shall we say, KiGo-suggestive lines to make it a perfect choice for that; for instance – “She's my man, don't be too sad sonny 'Cause she'll never be your woman no more”.

Although, to be honest, I’m not really sure what the text is about. I suspect it might not be about people at all, but actually about the city of New Orleans or sumthin'…

Anyway, Kim, her parents, her cousin and uncle are all created by Schooley and McCorkle, designed by Stephen Silver and copyrighted by Disney, as are Shego, Bonnie, Tara, Yori, Ron, Dr. D. and Anonymous Girl. Bonnie’s Yappie Type Dog is by me, and Xena is in a class of her own.

Oh, by the way - the wallpaper, the posters and everything else in the pic is drawn from scratch, although the wood texture is from a digital snapshot of the planks of our front porch...
