Sorry, folks, I handn't planned to do this sloppy pic, but found I couldn't keep Shego away from annoying Kim. And Shego is such a given for replacing Xena herself for the summer vacation.
Lucy and Renée seem happy with it, but by Kimmie's reaction I'm guessing she will keep reading the "help wanted" columns of the Middleton Gazette.
I don't know if it's the "sidekick" bit or the sub-text stuff that bothers her most.
I am sorry for the state of the picture - I haven't made any vector graphics for this but just cleaned up som pencil sketches. The background is mostly stolen from the previous deviation.
On the other hand, I have continued to spend my nerdy energy on the design of the speach bubbles. I have now abandoned the previous, rounded bubbles in favour of a square style, much influenced by Tintin and Hergé. Much of the design is also based on the style of E. P. Jacobs and his "Blake and Mortimer" comic books; especially the shape of the "tail" of the bubbles.
Yeah, I know, I should probably seek psychiatric help for obsessing about things like that, but I am slightly nerdish about these vintage Belgian and French comics...
Kim and Shego are © Disney and created by Schooley and McCorcle. Xena and Gabrielle are created by John Schulian and Robert G. Tapert, and produced by Pacific Renaissance Pictures Ltd and Universal Studios.
